Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa Contributes to Save the Wildlife

Sanibel Island, Florida, November 24, 2010 – Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa was proud to present C.R.O.W (Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife, Inc.) with a check in the amount of $1,510. C.R.O.W. is a non-profit veterinary hospital on Sanibel Island, Florida, caring for injured, sick and orphaned wildlife with hopes of returning them to their natural habitats. Presenting the check on behalf of Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina were Ellis Etter, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Boykin Management, and Mark Dickson, Regional Revenue Director for Boykin Management Company. Executive Director, Steve Greenstein, and staff member, Ava Hinojosa, gladly accepted the check at the clinic on Sanibel.

In response to the Gulf Oil Spill, Pink Shell reservation agent, Lynn LoPresto, suggested the resort offer a package that would benefit our local wildlife. Pink Shell’s management was quick to respond, and thus collaborated with C.R.O.W. to create the “Save the Wildlife” package. For just $299 per night, the guests received spacious studio accommodations, breakfast for two each day, two welcome drinks and 2 beach chairs and an umbrella daily. In addition, the first 30 packages booked received a copy of Visions of Beauty – Fort Myers, Sanibel & Beyond, the latest portfolio of work from renowned art photographer Alan S. Maltz. This package was made available and advertised on the home page of www.pinkshell.com from May through Mid-August of this year. For each package sold, Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa contributed $10 to CROW.

“We are delighted our guests have taken such a strong interest in supporting CROW’s extraordinary efforts.” said Ellis Etter. “Pink Shell will continue to explore creative and community-driven means of preserving and protecting our local wildlife and ecosystem.”

The Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa, a Boykin Management Company Property, is located on Fort Myers Beach offering 1,500 feet of sugar-white sands, 216 beachfront units, and many recreational activities. Pink Shell was the first resort on the beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel, Florida to be designated a Green Lodging Property by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).
