Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa – Marine Wedding
[A] U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. [and his bride] had a sunset wedding Monday at the Pink Shell in Fort Myers Beach.
To top this joyous event off, everything was donated including hotel, dinner, rooms, limo, reception, wedding cake, flowers and more.
Pink Shell, Parrot Key, Operation Open Arms and the Cajun Classic were honored to be a part of the wedding.
“My husband and I wish to sincerely thank you and Operation Open Arms from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful wedding and reception you provided,” said [the bride]. “I am certain [my husband] will take these beautiful memories with him to Afghanistan,” she said. “We are very fortunate to live in Lee County with businesses that unselfishly give back to our community. They too are heroes and deserve great praise. God bless you all.”
The bride designed and made her own wedding dress.
The couple is still on their honeymoon, but “are extremely grateful to Operation Open Arms and all the businesses that through their generosity made it possible for them to have such a beautiful beachside wedding, fun reception, and romantic honeymoon.”
