Fort Myers Beach Hotel, Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina Debuts Newly Revamped Menu Offerings at Bongo’s on the Beach

March 31, 2014

Bongo’s Beach Bar & Grill’s award winning chef breaks out a new spring menu emphasizing local and seasonal ingredients, with a bar menu to pair. The updated menu blends new cooking styles and flavors with long-time favorite dishes.

The 120-seat poolside patio is located on Fort Myers Beach, just north of Old San Carlos Boulevard, and is on the ground level of Pink Shell’s main building. The relaxed atmosphere provides stunning ocean views with ample seating, perfect for meeting friends or colleagues for a bite of lunch or dinner. Bongo’s is the place to party, meet friends, dine or simply take in the breathtaking majestic sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico.

The chef’s special menu invites guests to choose from numerous dishes along with a tropical beverage or any non-alcoholic beverage. Join Bongo himself, our furry big-eyed chimp, for one of his favorites – a magical Banana Daiquiri – or ask the bartender to tantalize your taste buds with a unique tropical drink creation, a glass of wine or a chilled beer. This new menu is also easy on the wallet, with an average 3-course meal ranging from $20-$30. Eight crowd-pleasing menu choices include the following:

  • Blue Crab ‘Devil-ish’ Eggs
  • Seared Yellowfin Tuna Salad
  • Mediterranean Flatbread
  • Black N Blue Burger
  • Pesto Chicken Sandwich
  • Roast 1/2 Chicken
  • Twin Griddled Rock Shrimp-Blue Crab Cakes
  • House-Made Key Lime Pie

“We want to re-establish Bongo’s as the neighborhood’s restaurant, with more value for your money, focus on local ingredients, and of course, continued quality in service delivery and the bars atmosphere,” said Craig Panneton, Pink Shell’s Executive Chef. Bongo’s on the Beach is open to the public seven days a week serving lunch and dinner.  Lunch guests will enjoy a menu of tropical salads and wraps, while the dinner menu includes mouth-watering steaks and fresh seafood entrees. With its Bongo bar stools and cool tropical rainforest setting, Bongo’s is the ideal place to relax with your favorite drink, a signature flatbread, and discover the incomparable pleasures of Southwest Florida’s totally relaxing style of life at the beach.
