Food and Beverage
Sous Chef – Exempt Position
Shift – Flexible to include weekends and holidays.
Five years supervisory experience, excellent knowledge of all cooking equipment and procedure. Excellent general knowledge of all line positions. Safe Serve certified. Must be able to develop and train on new menu items and recipes. Excellent knowledge of cost controls. Must be able to memorize food recipes and food preparation instructions. Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work indoors as well as outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
Banquet set-up – On-call
Shift – Flexible – 7 day a week availability to include days, nights, and weekends and holidays.
Minimum of one year in banquet or restaurant service experience. Fine dining experience. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Take a strong personal interest in guest satisfaction. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Oral and written communication skills in English.
Server – Full-time
Shift – Flexible to include weekends and holidays
Minimum of one year restaurant service experience required. Neat and well-groomed appearance. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Take a strong personal interest in guest satisfaction. Must be able to work out doors in different types of weather conditions. Providing dining service to guests in a manner in which is in keeping with the established standards of service. Develop repeat business by maintaining a congenial attitude towards all guests and by demonstrating an awareness of proper service standards through daily guest service. Prepare assigned stations for full service of the day. Use suggestive selling techniques when taking food and beverage orders. Maintain a constant awareness of guest needs through teamwork. Accurately prepare all guest checks.
Food Runner- Full-time
Shift – Flexible to include weekends and holidays
Previous experience as a food runner in a hotel or resort setting is a plus. Must be neat in appearance. Oral and written communication skills in English. Must be able to work out doors in different kinds of weather conditions. Must be able to carry heavy trays up and down steps. Must provide excellent guest service.
Shift – Flexible to include weekends, holidays and evenings.Must hold a valid Florida license for Massage. Reliable work history and references are required. Professional appearance, oral and written communication skills and have a fabulous smile.
Shift – Flexible to include weekends and holidays.Previous experience in a hotel setting preferred. Friendly hospitality oriented personality. Oral and written communication in English. High standard of cleanliness. Must meet the high physical demands of the job. Clean guest units properly to include dusting, vacuuming, clean and disinfect bathrooms, change linens, follow amenity replenishment procedures. Complete room assignments daily. Follow lost and found procedures. Complete any reasonable task required by the Inspector.
Shift – 7:30am – 4:00pm to include weekends and holidays.Building maintenance in a hotel setting is a plus. Trade experience or technical training in HVAC, plumbing or electrical work. Maintenance, repair and replacement of hotel mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. Maintenance, repair and replacement of the physical features of the hotel. Performing preventative maintenance functions on HVAC, ice machines and all other equipment on Property. Must be able to work out doors in different types of weather conditions. Other responsibilities directed by the Chief Engineer.
Shift – full availability to include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift also weekends and holidays.Minimum of three years supervisory experience in the Front Office area or equivalent,
College degree preferred: hospitality oriented: computer literate.
Shift – Flexible to include 1st or 2nd shift; to include weekends and holidays.General knowledge of switchboard, previous PBX experience preferred. Oral and written communication skills in English. Must possess a clear speaking voice with personality. Receive and disperse incoming calls. Track and charge long distance calls appropriately. Notify proper authorities in the event on an emergency situation. Respond to special requests from guests. Operate radio base. Basic computer skills.
Shift – Flexible, must be a able to work 1st or 2nd shift. Including weekends and holidays.Professional appearance. Must be able to be certified in CPR and First Aid. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Ability to lift up to 175 pounds. Work outside in different weather conditions.
Vacation Planning (Reservations)
Shift – All shifts to include weekends and holidays.Reservation and sales experienced preferred in a hotel or resort setting. Typing and computer knowledge are a must. Customer relations and telephone skills required. Outgoing, upbeat and flexible personality. Must be flexible in regards to schedule and work space. Interaction with the Front Desk. Build a connection with the guest and represent all Boykin properties in aprofessional manner. Listening to the needs of the guest to find the best season and room type for each particular guest. Out bound calling to guests that have expressed an interest to stay at a Boykin property. Process cancellations and refunds according to company policy. Oral and written communication skills in English, with a clear speaking voice.
